Speaking to the oe24 portal, Helmut Marko, the man from Graz, made a definitive statement about his future. He confirmed his commitment to remain “100 per cent loyal to Formula One for the 2024 season”.
The announcement came after discussions with other Red Bull Racing officials just before Christmas, putting to rest any doubts about his involvement next season.

Marko’s future with Red Bull Racing has been the subject of much debate, especially after he described it as a “complex issue” in a mid-December interview in which he stated that “nothing has been decided”.
However, that uncertainty has been replaced by a clear direction, with Marko stating that everything has been clarified “in a positive sense” and that plans will continue as before.

Full-time commitment to F1
The 80-year-old consultant confirmed that he will not only remain with Red Bull, but will continue to work full-time. This commitment includes attending all 24 races of the next Formula One season. Marko made it clear that he does not find this schedule stressful, but rather that he approaches his role with great joy and passion.
He even expressed his excitement about upcoming races, such as the trip to Melbourne, where he will be dedicated to his role from Friday to Sunday evening.
“But that’s not stressful for me. If I said: ‘It’s crazy what’s coming to me!’, it would be difficult,” he assured
“From Friday 11 a.m. to Sunday evening I do my job for Red Bull Racing, and I enjoy it,” he explained.

Looking forward to a competitive 2024 season
Looking forward to the 2024 season, Marko acknowledged the potential challenges that lie ahead. He does not expect a repeat of his team’s overwhelming dominance in 2023. Instead, he expects rivals such as Mercedes and Ferrari to be “better prepared this time”.
His role as an advisor and sought-after interviewee is likely to involve answering critical questions about the team’s strategies and performance in what is expected to be a more competitive season.
