Serious allegations against Steiner over Schumacher

As the tenth anniversary of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher’s tragic skiing accident approaches, former F1 driver Timo Glock reflects on the impact and legacy of Schumacher.

In an interview with MegaDice.com, Glock expresses his ongoing thoughts about the accident, highlighting how such moments remind everyone of the fragility of life and the deep loss felt by the F1 community. He shows great respect for the Schumacher family’s privacy and chooses not to comment on speculation about Michael’s current health.

“It’s not about the tenth anniversary. Every year when this date occurs, everyone is reminded and thinks about what if things had been different and more positive. That’s life, but it’s hard to accept because he’s such a legend for the sport, and it’s certainly not an easy time for the family,” Glock explained

Mick Schumacher’s struggle in F1

Glock, who has a close relationship with Michael’s son Mick, talks about the challenges the young driver faces in Formula 1. He mentions their frequent interactions as Mick sought advice on his future in the sport.

Glock empathises with Mick’s situation and acknowledges the immense pressure that comes with carrying the Schumacher name, especially in the wake of his father’s accident.

“I often met him at Grand Prix weekends during the season to talk about his future and he asked me what I would recommend to him,”  says Glock.

“Every son who had a father in Formula 1 was under a lot of pressure. […] If you consider what Mick went through with his father’s accident, the pressure is three or four times as heavy on his shoulders. Having the last name Schumacher – we can’t imagine how difficult it must have been for him.”

Criticism of Haas and team boss Günther Steiner

Glock does not hold back in his criticism of the Haas F1 Team and their handling of Mick Schumacher. He argues that Mick has not been given the right environment or support to showcase his talent, pointing the finger directly at Haas team boss Günther Steiner.

According to Glock, Steiner did not do his job properly in supporting a young driver who was already under enormous pressure.

“I hope he has the chance to show his true talent, which he couldn’t do in F1 under the circumstances he had with the Haas team. In my opinion, Günther Steiner didn’t do his job properly to support a young driver with such pressure on his shoulders,” Glock openly criticised the team boss.

The lack of guidance from Michael Schumacher

A significant factor in Mick’s F1 journey was the lack of guidance from his father. Glock notes that the transition from F3 and F2 to F1 is challenging and believes that this would have been the crucial time for Michael to offer support, advice and encouragement. Without his father’s presence, Mick had to navigate the complexities of F1 somewhat blindly.

“After F3 and F2 he went blindly into F1. That would have been the time when Michael, his father, could have supported him, given him the right tips and stood by him in good and bad situations.”

With Mick Schumacher potentially facing a future outside of a Formula One cockpit in 2024, Glock remains hopeful that he will be given another chance to prove himself. He emphasises the need for Mick to be in an environment where his true talent can shine through, free from the burdens he faced at Haas.

Timo Glock’s reflections and criticisms shed light on the unique challenges Mick Schumacher has faced in his F1 career to date. The legacy of Michael Schumacher looms large, both in terms of the legend he leaves behind and the unfulfilled role he could have played in his son’s career. Glock’s insights are a poignant reminder of the complexities and pressures of motorsport, especially for those who carry a legacy as significant as the Schumacher name.

  1. No one will see MS ever again, thank you Corinna, despite without the fans there would never been the money to care for him in private and locked away. All motorsport fans want is regular updates and a pic now and then , but Corinna decided fans gave enough and received enough , so now they are cut off. Now let the sissy boys defend why Corinna has the right to privacy, which I dont deny. 🙂 just of the opinion she is very selfish.

  2. Mick Schumacher just isn’t good enough for an F1 seat, despite having had more chances than some other deserving drivers because of his name. Nothing to do with Steiner and even less to do with Glock.

  3. Who’s selfish? Being a fan doesn’t give you the right to see inside the personal life of someone or there reasons, but I don’t think you were a fan Rexdeus just an anti Schumacher !person! A true fan of Michael and the sport will live with the great memories and achievements that Michael created and respect his family.
As for mick Schumacher not been good enough Macdoris, look at his previous racing record and take on board everything Timo Glock has said instead of being a bitter anti Schumacher person upset because he didn’t let whoever your hero was win. Merry Christmas all
