Ronaldo and Lewis Hamilton to be reunited?

Cristiano Ronaldo and Formula 1’s Lewis Hamilton to be reunited? The English tabloid press is going crazy with speculation. After arriving in Saudi Arabia earlier this year, Cristiano Ronaldo is offering even more exposure to the country that has been active in the sport for several seasons, like Qatar.

But in order to sign for Al-Nassr, the Portuguese is said to have accepted a clause requiring him to travel to the Jeddah circuit to attend the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. However, this report was quickly denied, but it is still being talked about.

Cristiano Ronaldo has finally signed for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, where he earns an estimated €200m a year. The Portuguese has signed for two and a half seasons with his new club and is serving as an ambassador for the country, particularly with a view to the organisation of the 2030 World Cup.

But Saudi Arabia is not only involved in football.

The F1 clause that has English press talking

Indeed, for several years, Saudi Arabia has also been organising a Formula 1 Grand Prix on the Jeddah circuit. According to the Sun, Al-Nassr has included a clause in Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract obliging him to attend the race on Sunday. Representatives interviewed in the Daily Mirror denied this and said Ronaldo was under no obligation to attend.

Cristiano Ronaldo and F1, an old story

Nevertheless, he could still go to the Jeddah circuit and meet Lewis Hamilton, whom he met in 2019 in the Mercedes stand during the Monaco Grand Prix.

And in 2021, while playing for Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo visited Maranello, the Ferrari factory where he met Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Therefore, it would not be surprising to see the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in the paddock on Sunday in Saudi Arabia. But it should be for pure pleasure and not out of obligation.
