Last week, Lewis Hamilton and Valentino Rossi drove together in Valencia – Valentino, extremely satisfied with the experience, joked that in 2020 he was ready to replace Valtteri Bottas and team up with Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes team.

The event, which was arranged by mutual sponsor Monster Energy, was eagerly anticipated by both Hamilton and Rossi, fulfilling their own personal ambitions to get some hot laps with the other’s vehicle in a private test session

“After the end of my career in MotoGP my wish would be to continue to race in motorsport.” says the Italian rider,

“There are five or six races I would have liked to take part in, like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Spa, and also the 24 Hours at the Nurburgring, because I love this circuit.

“As far as Formula 1 is concerned, despite the fact that I felt really comfortable in Valencia, I don’t think I would be able to take part in the championship. I’m too old for that.

“On the other hand, if I’m offered to swap my place with Valtteri Bottas, I’ll sign up right away!”
