Norris & Sainz: Epic karting battle – difference between F1 drivers & normal people

Last Updated on July 23 2019, 9:55 am

A McLaren team building day out at Daytona Sandown karting venue in the UK saw teammates Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz Jr pit their skills against ‘normal people’, and other McLaren team members.

Electing to start at the back of the grid, it doesn’t take long at all for the pair to make it to the front of the pack demonstrating the astonishing difference between the best drivers in the world against average joes who in their own right might actually be very good amateur karters.

The pair enjoy some funny banter before the start of the race after practice and qualifying, with Norris lauding it over Sainz having been told that the young British driver was quickest.
