Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo announces shock retirement

“I’ve always said I want to win five races and then retire, so I’m probably not going to compete this weekend” are the words uttered by the likeable Australia Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo when interviewed by Sky Sports Ted Kravitz.

The race winner from Baku managed to keep a deadpan face going for some time continuing on with:

“For the team, yeah I guess they’ve got to find another driver… ” despite the Red Bull press officer struggling to keep his grin breaking into full on laughter in the background.

Perhaps should he actually retire, Jolyon Palmer might find a home when he’s replaced by the Polish driver Robert Kubica?

And in other news, a red London bus was discovered on the moon yesterday…
