McLaren get head start

The McLaren MCL60 Formula 1 car was seen on track in Bahrain. Winter testing doesn’t start until Thursday in Bahrain, but already three teams on the grid have taken to the track this week to shakedown their 2023 cars, with McLaren getting a head start by publishing their official video footage on Youtube.

McLaren, Haas and Williams are already on track in Bahrain, although Formula One’s 2023 winter test does not officially begin until Thursday 23 February.

The three teams arrived early at the Sakhir circuit to set up their garages and carry out a shakedown with their 2023 cars, the first for McLaren and the second for Haas and Williams, who took to the track at Silverstone a few days ago.

McLaren’s Lando Norris took to the track in the MCL60 on Tuesday in Bahrain (see video below), while Haas’ German driver Nico Hülkenberg took the wheel of the VF-23 he will be driving this season in his first year with the American team.

Williams also took to the track on Tuesday for a promotional shoot. The FW45 will be driven this season by Alexander Albon and Logan Sargeant.

The 2023 pre-season tests officially begin this Thursday, February 23, and will last three days. You can follow the reaction and gossip from the testing sessions on TJ13.
