After the French Grand Prix, Formula 1 will move to Hungary this weekend. The winner at Le Castellet, Max Verstappen is obviously arriving with a lot of confidence. And although the circuit is not necessarily suitable for the Red Bull, the world champion has clearly announced his intentions: Verstappen is going for victory.
For the 13th round of the Formula 1 season, the drivers will travel to Hungary this weekend. The Hungaroring circuit in Budapest. Again, the battle promises to be intense. Following his retirement from the French Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc will be keen to get back to the top. While Lewis Hamilton also continues his return to the top, Max Verstappen will be looking for another victory at this Grand Prix after having already won the French Grand Prix. However, it may not be easy for the Dutchman and Red Bull as this is not the best track for Verstappen’s team.
Max Verstappen sent a clear message to the competition ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix. Despite Red Bull’s possible difficulties on the Hungaroring, he will be looking to win the race:
“Hungary has a special track; I really like driving there because it’s a bit like driving on a go-kart track, there is a very technical second sector that I like. It will be interesting to see how the weather affects us throughout the weekend. It’s hard to say how we will perform this weekend, it’s not our strongest track but of course I want a good result and we will do everything to win with the team.”
For this Hungarian Grand Prix, Red Bull will also be able to count on a determined Sergio Perez keen to prove his bosses wrong.
“It was a frustrating weekend for me in France, I didn’t feel I had the pace I wanted and I wasn’t totally comfortable with the car.” says the Mexican,
“We are working hard as a team to try and find out what was wrong with the car. For now, we are pushing hard and I will try to get a better result in the final race before the summer break and get back to the level we have been at regularly this season”.
