Alpine to ditch BWT colour

From the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix scheduled for this weekend (April 8th to 10th) at Melbourne’s Albert Park, the Alpine F1 team will no longer use the pink livery seen in the first two rounds of the year on the A522.

This winter, the Alpine team surprised everyone with the presentation of two liveries for its 2022 car; a blue livery with touches of pink to mark its partnership with the BWT company, and a second livery in which the pink was much more prominent. The latter was used exclusively for the first two races of the year in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. From this weekend onwards, the Alpine A522’s livery will once again be blue and it is this livery that will be used by the French manufacturer’s team for the rest of the 2022 season.

Prior to the third round of the season, Alpine is in fourth place in the constructors’ world championship with sixteen points from the first two races of the calendar.
