Vettel’s frank statement on his future amid fears Aston Martin are in trouble

Vettel’s frank statement on his future amid fears Aston Martin is in trouble as reported by this website two weeks ago – During the Race of Champions, Sebastian Vettel found himself behind the wheel of a rally car on snowy roads in Sweden This gave the German some ideas for his future career as a Formula 1 driver, which might now be on his mind considering the information given to TJ13 about Aston Martin.

While waiting for the pre-season F1 test in Barcelona on the 23rd of February, Sebastian Vettel is having fun away from the Formula 1 track. The German driver took part in this year’s Race of Champions, an international motor racing event, this year held in Sweden.

The 34-year-old driver reached the final of the competition and lost to Frenchman Sébastien Loeb. Nevertheless, Sebastian Vettel did not hide the fact that he enjoyed driving something other than his usual single-seaters. The four-time world champion might be tempted to repeat the experience in the future, especially as TJ13 reported on information from a source within the Silverstone team that Aston Martin F1 is way behind on their 2022 car.

Vettel works closely with the factory, so his statements here might well be an indicator that soon he might leave Formula 1 for other things.

“If someone wants to give me a chance and has a lot of time to give me, I would be happy to consider it.” confesses Vettel,

“It takes time and experience, but if someone wants to give me a chance and has a lot of time to give me, I would be happy to consider it (racing off-road in a rally car).

“It’s something that is very satisfying as a driver, to play with the car and have more scope. Normally, when the car goes off-track in F1, you immediately correct the direction, and you lose some time. Here, I think there are a lot more grey areas.

“Maybe the timing is a bit wrong but you can correct it. Like in Formula 1 or in any category, there is a lot of work behind the scenes, taking notes, and getting all the information you can. Of course, you have to get into that tiny window to be perfect. And you’ve seen the difference! But it’s really something I enjoy,” Sebastian Vettel said.
