Honda Toro Rosso – Explained

Last Updated on February 27 2018, 12:13 pm

Today is the second day of testing at Barcelona for the Formula 1 grid, but yesterday saw the launch of the first ever Honda powered Toro Rosso which the team are no doubt hoping to embarrass McLaren with.

The team have made a great start doing that yesterday, whilst Alonso struggled with the lap count after coming off the circuit early on, Toro Rosso pounded out the laps. Something that McLaren could only of dreamed about this time last year.

TJ13 can thoroughly recommend Marc Priestley’s analysis on the car, it’s an interesting watch. Marc is an ex McLaren No.1 mechanic who was involved during the team’s championship winning year of 2008 with Lewis Hamilton. Many who follow Formula E in the UK might recognise him from the terrestrial TV coverage as a studio pundit but also from Sky Sports F1’s ‘The F1 Show’.

He has great insight into the Formula 1 and has started ‘Vlogging’ on YouTube. Please head on over to his channel and subscribe for updates.

  1. Wouldnt be surprised if red bull parallel develops chassis for a possible mid-season engine swap if the honda proves competitive. Do the rules permit that???
