  1. Had do watch a recording, but I wish I had an Indy500 airing channel instead. What a waste of 2 hours.

  2. Perhaps it is time to change Monaco to a Festival of Speed, like Goodwood. There is no racing takes place there anyway.

  3. What a terrible Monaco GP. No passing, except in the pits. What can I say? This was a classic Monaco GP. It’s truly absurd that journalists call it the most important GP of year. British, Italian, and Belgian GPs easily beat this so called most important GP of F1. The great thing now is that Monaco GP is followed by truly exciting GPs.

    • You write that it was both a terrible Monaco GP and a classic Monaco GP.
      It can’t be both.
It can be a terrible GP and a classic Monaco GP, but not a classic and terrible Monaco GP.

  4. Can I vote Takuma Sato?

Anyone else find it ironic that it was Alonso’s Honda that failed, while his teammate won?

  5. Monaco has long been about, almost entirely, what happens off the track – the celebs, the party’s, etc. There’s only been two or three memorable races in the last 30 years. If this race was virtually anywhere else in the world it would have been dropped long ago.

    • I totally agree. The organisers should be sued under the Trade Description Act. It hasn’t been a race for a long long time. With the exception of a few drivers hitting the barriers and being removed from contention it is just a procession decided by qualifying places. I would happily see it dropped from the calendar. Or replace the cars with Renault Clios or some such.

      • It will never get dropped. Money can’t buy the PR / glamour F1 gets from Monaco.
