This year’s silly season is indeed very silly. Massa returning, Rosberg retiring, Bottas moving (probably).
The latest craziness comes this time from the Italian media claiming that the ex McLaren chief, Ron Dennis is part of a consortium of potential buyers of Manor Racing F1 team.
The rumours have indicated that one set of buyers headed by entrepreneur Ricardo Galael are one set of buyers looking to invest, another competing consortium consists of Chinese lenders with Dennis at the helm.
The Chinese were originally set up to invest into McLaren through Dennis but pulled out due to the high price. Obviously Manor are rather more ‘cost effective’ than the price that Dennis would’ve mandated for the Woking team.
Ron Dennis has traditionally maintained a very high ticket price for any sponsorship of McLaren’s F1 team. This had a knock-on effect which saw the decline of sponsor names on their cars over the years. Most evidenced by McLaren’s inability to replace Vodafone as the teams main title sponsor. Something Zak Brown, Ron’s replacement, is looking to remedy.
Should the first consortium headed by Galael successfully take Manor, the Indonesian born head of KFC Group will nearly certainly put Rio Haryanto back into a race seat.
You talk some utter tat at times, (or all the time), look into your comments before writing them, as you will find the Haryantos, and the Galeals do not get on, so Rio would not get a drive if they took over at Banbury, which is unlikely as the Galeal family has vehemently denied they are buying into Manor.
Further more a deal spearheaded by Graeme Lowdon and Involving Capital GF has apparently already been signed, and was done so on 14th Dec, (this deal could see Haryantos return).
This is a rumour from the Italian press, nothing more – written with the pre-text “the latest craziness”
Please could you desist from using statements of fact for your headlines ( and twitter posts) when the related article is nothing more than rumour or speculation. This has been a trend of this site of late and is nothing more than click-bait.
The site sadly lacks the gravitas it had as recently as two years ago and is now nothing more than a rumour mill, of which there are thousands.
No facts are stated. Our header policy hasn’t ever changed, perhaps you’re confused? This time of year there is very little in the way of ‘fact’.

I don’t know about this. But if Liberty do as they say they will do and change the constructors pay out system so that it is more equitable to the smaller teams – the value of Manor will go up. Whether that and any potential they see in the team is enough to entice someone like Dennis remains to to seen. BTW – The Mexican, Tavo Hellmund, that was supposed to have bought Manor 3 or4 weeks ago seems to have vanished.

what ? KFC is an american based company, HQ in Louisville, KY, and it is part of the larger Yum! Brands which is all the restaurant companies (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, etc all owned by PepsiCo HQ in Texas, which were spun off into the Yum! Brands.
There are licenses and groups all around the world, KFC is the 2nd largest restaurant chain in the world, and one of them is the group in Indonesia, over 650+ locations and like any other fast food chain anywhere, they have a local flair and taste,
And then like China which is the largest market for KFC and has its own Group, etc
Heck in Pakistan for example is seems you can’t walk anywhere without running into a KFC or Pizza Hut..and I will say the KFC in Islamabad was the best I have seen for that fast food brand.

Fullfilling his dream to the max, Dennis creates ‘Dennis F1’ driving as ‘KFC Dennis F1’ building it up under a cost cap to a chanpion winning team within 5 years and then making the Dennis road car, with an ‘Autipilot’ that assist you in driving just as tidy as Dennis wants. The car even comes with a noise cancellation system which kicks in if you use foul language.
