Brought to you by TheJudge13 contributor Mattpt55 – the best in Scrutineering, Stewards’ Decisions, and other assorted FIA documents looked at slightly irreverently
There’s the race we see on telly, and then there’s the race behind the scenes. One rarely talked about by reporters but told in part by the official FIA documents. Here is a selection of this weekend’s documents for you to peruse at your leisure. Enjoy. Wonder where all this great stuff came from? Right Here
Apologies for the Pressers, I was trying out a new development and let’s just say it might need a little more sorting, LOL! Enjoy the race

Thanks Carlo for helping out with the new look!
Top work, Matt. Particularly enjoyed the track map annotations.
Joe S was quite feisty. I know he’s not always flavour of the month round here, but I have to say I like the guy, despite his flaws.
I saw elsewhere that Red Bull had fitted concealed leaf springs to the FW flap adjusters to enable deflection at high speed.
If true, then pretty blatant, notwithstanding the cries of conspiracy around here.

Shame this couldn’t have been asked about at the presser – I’d have liked to see CH asked to clarify what he meant by ‘singled out’…
Makes you wonder what McLaren hope to gain from the ersatz Red Bull front wing if it doesn’t employ the same ‘technique’.
Benchmarking.
(And even a rules hobbled Red Bull front wing is probably superior to Mclaren’s old effort.)
I’m also liking the move towards clarity in how leaving the track will be treated by the stewards ahead of the race, rather than leaving it open to unnecessary argument during or after the event.
Thanks again, Matt, for all your efforts.
I am slightly confused by Nico’s comment that his father had “written” to him (and then Nico added, “discussed”, which might mean ‘spoken’…).
It made me wonder if Keke has been seen in the MB garage at all this year, actually/physically supporting his son…
It often seems to me that Nico behaves almost like an orphan…
Especially compared with the antics on Lewis’s side of the garage… 😉
They don’t appear to get on. How true the following story is…
“Rosberg struggles with advice from father Keke”

I see ATOS are running the accredication of journalists. Best of luck to any of them who have any disabilities!
