With the race done and having had time to mull it over, how would you race the 2014 Austrian Grand Prix at the new Red Bull Ring? Does the circuit lend itself to good racing? Please explain in the comments why you voted the way you did.

Race was pretty meh… We’ve had more interesting ones. Highlight was the hilarious banter of Marko, Lauda and Berger before and after the demo run in their old cars.
What was once one of the most challenging F1 tracks is now Hungary in the Alps. Can’t say I’d miss it if it didn’t hold another F1 race. The track is probably best suited for F3 or Formula Ford.
couldn’t agree more – remember dreading the Austrian GP at the old A ring – similar feeling last week – result justified it….
If Mateschitz really wanted to give something back to Austria and the sport – why not restore the old circuit to modern safety standards?
That would be amazing… but I can imagine health and safety would have a heart attack. As it is, we can’t cross a white line on the exit of T8.. even Bernie is saying that’s anti-racing.
Track wasn’t very conducive to overtaking… Or something… Seemed to be missing a little something.
8 good racing. tension. impressive display of a superior strategy. enjoyed watching the drivers really having to push hard every corner. the track is simply amazing by today’s standards.
I think we were watching different races.
6. Have seen (a lot) better races…
Six from me. It was falsely talked up by various commentators as being a traditional road type circuit with hill sections, gravel run-offs, etc brought up to date courtesy of Red Bull. I was disappointed except for the fabulous background view of the mountains in the distance. The final straw was the sickening graphics overlay purporting to be from Bernie to our benefactor who in turn had a kick in the teeth for his generosity with the result, which saw Red Bull go flat.

Cheer up Judge, was not that bad a race. Director for FOM missed all the scraps.
Not the best race but not all races can end like Canada (Massa waited till Perez went to the pits) and Bahrain.
7/10. There was at least some suspension while the Mercedes and Williams fought for their places and Hamilton trying to charge and overtake his teammate is always nice to view, no matter how it ends. That said, if it hadn’t been my home grand prix, I would only have given it a 6.
Imagine if Hamilton was on Rosberg’s tail after the first stops… we could have had more Bahrain-like action!
