Welcome to another week of TheJudge13 #F1 Bar Exam. Acting on a request from last week… this week’s exam will include something a bit more current and cryptic.
Last Week’s Question(s): Can you name the driver in the picture. Can you also name the Grand Prix and the driver in the background spinning off in a cloud of dust.
The answer(s) I was looking for were: The driver is Jo Bonnier driving the #3 McLaren M5A BRM during the 1968 Italian Grand Prix. He came sixth in a race that was won by Denny Hulme also in a McLaren but the Cosworth M7A.
A big well done to AJ! I have to admit, it took me ages with the right photo to get the car and black and white does not help however, if you look at the suspension on the rear of the car it resembles the T86B whereas the Honda RA301, although having a similar nose, does not have the same suspension.
Well done also to Cassius and Mike who got Jo Bonnier correct.
This week’s question(s): Can you name the circuit in the image below. This circuit is one where departing Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa, have been very competitive in the past. It is also a circuit where horns have been locked in the recent past. Bonus point if you can name the exact point of the track where this photo was taken.
Please provide your answers in the field below.
