F1 fans have been busy on social media today following the posting of a ‘spy shot’ of Lewis Hamilton apparently touching Sergio Perez rear wing. The shot was given extra credibility when Jonathan Noble of Motorsport.com edited it into a split shot showing Max Verstappen doing something similar to Lewis car at the 2021 Brazilian GP.
Verstappen was sanctioned for his actions by the stewards in Sau Paulo.
Mercedes have moved to deny any wrong doing by their star driver.

VER’s sanction was a €50k. Let’s see what the FIA do about this one, given that precedent.
