Formula 1 broadcasts Mexico Grand Prix on Twitch… except –

…sorry UK, the only countries that will have this new feature are selected markets in Europe.

Formula 1 will broadcast the Grand Prix of Mexico on Sunday for the first time live and free of charge on the streaming platform Twitch.

The race, as well as all further sessions of the race weekend, will be shown in Germany without advertising interruption and in Full HD online as well as on the mobile app.

The offer is also available in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

During the broadcast there will be elements such as voting to create more interaction with the audience. In addition, selected influencers will accompany the broadcast, such as the YouTuber group “PietSmiet” in Germany.

The Twitch platform, on which streamers mostly show video games such as Fortnite, League of Legends or Minecraft, is visited by more than 15 million users every day.

With this, F1 owner Liberty Media continues to pursue its strategy of penetrating digital realms and winning new target groups.

It said this would include a data extension alongside the broadcast so that users could predict the performance of drivers during 10-minute segments of the race.

“As part of the deal, interactivity and gaming elements will be added to the broadcast to really drive engagement from the community,” Formula One, owned by U.S.-based Liberty Media, said in a statement.

Ferrari engine, & the allegations that would make it illegal

With this article we don’t want to go into the merits of the truthfulness or not of the accusations made against the Ferrari engine. The intention, however, is to clarify that, if these accusations were confirmed, the irregularity of the engine of the SF90 would be obvious.

These days, articles of accusations and counter-accusations of all kinds have been bounced off the press and the web. There are those who write about Mercedes’ allegations to….. READ MORE

  1. It’s free to watch ALL Grand Prix on RTBF (Belgian terrestrial) so looks like I don’t need to ask “WTF is Twitch……?”, so I won’t need to penetrate anything other than (use your imagination).

  2. I will use Hidden24.co.uk to get a Swedish IP address. Then I can access websites as if I was in Sweden – planning to watch this race over Twitch in this way.
