  1. f*ck yeah, I gave it a ten.
what’s not to like? constantly there was some kind of action going on. controversy? yes, please!
surprise winner and podium? even more so.
an overtake in the last 20m? hell yeah!
and last but not least, finally no more of this “massive respect for each other” BS.
vettel has no respect for anyone, hamilton only for people he considers as good or better as him.
the gloves are off. time for the rest of the season to be even harder.

That “mutual respect” thing was such a circle jerk. Seb and Lewis were just mutually butthurt that everyone still lauds Fred over them and their car-centric multiple championships.

It’s great to see an interdriver / interteam feud starting up. No papa-bear team principal to call team orders and spoil the fun. Extra popcorn rations for all.

I pray the cars stay roughly evenly matched and we see a genuine scrap in the back end of the season.

  2. I would have given the race a 10 had it not been for the inordinate amount of time it took to get Kyvat’s car off the track. A simple break down shouldn’t need 6 laps (10% of the race) under a safety car to get it removed. And hopefully this race ends the constant whining over the radio ” he hit me , he hit me” Let them race and let them bang wheels.

  3. 9 from me. It could probably be better but not a whole lot. Action, drama, anger, surprises. Even the stewards made an amazingly good call on Vettel v Hamilton brawl, Punishing both but not excessively and allowing them to meet on track again. That’s a first! Everything that makes drama on-track should be encouraged and not penalized. I didn’t expect much from the Baku race after the snorefest last year but I’m very glad I was wrong. Liberty, Chase, this, this is what I want, and looking at the scores this race is getting – there’s a ton of people who think like me.

  4. Solid 9.
The track marshals were very sloooowwww to clear up the track of stricken cars and debris. Regardless of who was out front (Ham, Ric) that battle was boring. Behind the leader lots of action.
