Alonso all day long for me. Great effort by him. His only error was really that mistake in Q3, but compared to other drivers he seemed to get more from his car and generally make less mistakes. To finish behind the far faster Merc/RBR/Ferrari cars was a great effort and when it rained… wow… Fernando Gold that was.
It’s easy to forget how special Alonso is. Ferocious, consistent and supremely talented. Possibly a generational best.
Shame he’s not in a Merc, yet, that’s probably the only thing that’s helped F1 weather the three horrendous seasons so far – allowing us to watch Lewis and Nico fumble while they both find and lose form over 3-5 race periods and make each other look decidedly average despite enjoying the most (continually) dominant car in F1 history.
Looking forward to 2017; hoping for a strong Honda.
I’ll go for Kimi. I was interested to see in the poll result that poor old Nico is at the time of posting on null points. He was strong all weekend, kept it on the track, stuck it on pole because he alone fully understood the rules ( 😌 ) did the overtake of the weekent to get second place back (ok he had lousy start) did nothing wrong in the race and finished a close second. How do tbe Judge’s jury reward him? – they give points to losers like hulk, jensen, danni and rio and nowt for nico!
Gutierez – for getting everyone pissed.
Could’ve gone for Max, but he only got Kimi pissed. And Kimi gets ‘pissed’ enough.
