TJ13 is at the Silverstone Grand Prix this weekend so updates may be slow however should there be anything newsworthy…

Gentlemen, we have an agreement

It is not everyday that Formula 1 Team Principals agree but during yesterday’s Team Principal press conference team bosses were all in agreement that the International Tribunal process works well. What they could not agree on was that the penalty was fair.

When Horner was asked his thoughts on the process and outcome he said the process was fine but, “The penalty they applied? I have to be a bit careful because he’s bigger than I am, sitting next to me! Possibly it was a bit soft but, you know, it was a fair process and it was certainly interesting to see how it panned out.” Horner stil wants clarity  on the rules though…

Schumacher not that bad after all…

When Michael Schumacher made his return in 2010 no one was sure how he would do. Results were dismal and only in his third and final year did results improve to a state where he were on par or slightly better than is younger team mate Nico Rosberg.

Since no one knew how good Schumacher was on his comeback Rosberg’s stock was probably on “sell” status however… Lewis Hamilton is regarded as one of the fastest Formula 1 drivers over one lap and Rosberg seem to have the measure of him, for now. Given Hamilton has to get up to speed with the car and has “things on his mind” but never the less, Rosberg’s stock has now gone to “hold”.

Ross Brawn is quoted in Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung and says, “... I’m disappointed that we could not give him a car to show the world what he is capable of, even at his age..” He goes on to say that many people thought Schumacher was slow because they don’t know how fast Nico is and that this is constantly in the mind of Hamilton.

He goes on to compare Schumacher and Hamilton saying both “behave very professional and have their emotions under control” Say what? Perhaps we can agree with Brawn’s view on Schumacher but Hamilton can control his emotions? Hmmm, maybe the late nights studying for the IT has affected Brawn…
