Ferrari’s admission about the relationship between Leclerc and Vettel

Despite recent tensions between Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel, Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto says the duo is complementary and effective.

At Ferrari, should we continue to believe in the Charles Leclerc-Sebastian Vettel partnership? Relations between the two drivers have not been very good recently, indeed TJ13 reported soon after the last Grand Prix in Russia, the situation could be described as ‘toxic’.

If the Italian team can continue to stay at the front of the pack, evidenced with 3 wins in the last 4 Grand Prix, it’s safe to say that certainly any progress past or present has been somewhat tarnished by the differences that have arisen between Leclerc and Vettel. However, Ferrari’s bosses remain confident about this partnership, or at least claim they are.

However, if we compare Ferrari with its two main rivals, we can see that there is a well-defined hierarchy at Mercedes and Red Bull in terms of their drivers. Nevertheless, Mattia Binotto remains confident about this partnership between two top drivers.

“Mercedes has already won by having top drivers with Hamilton and Rosberg in its ranks.

“I am very satisfied with the drivers we have, it is a perfect mix of experience and talent.

“For Charles, it is very important to be able to count on Sebastian and I am convinced that we are not doing things wrong,” said Binotto, reported by AS.

One response to “Ferrari’s admission about the relationship between Leclerc and Vettel

  1. Many Italian articles I’ve read say that neither can stand each other, they don’t talk to each other and only appear together when mandated by Ferrari. With Vettel on $42M next year a buyout to get rid of him will be expensive.
