Looks like a deserved Landslide victory for the Hulk. Who the heck voted Perez and Vettel? Was Coffeeshop Joe around again?
I hesitated for Vettel: 2 Grand Chelem’s in a row. Who did that before him?
But I voted for Hülkenberg as well.
Well yes, but I think Hülkenberg trumped that. Vettel drove a good race, but it didn’t quite feel out of the ordinary, while Hülkenbergs drive to 4th was certainly a noteworthy thing.
BTW. Jim Clark score 3 Grand Chelems in 1965, but not in a row.
Ascari and Clark did that before Vettel …
I voted Vettel. Grand Chelem is a perfect weekend (not only race). And if you say this doesn’t feel out of the ordinary, well … it shows how good Vettel is if this is just another day at the office.
But Hulk is driver of the day (race day, that is)
Hulk drove a great race, but it was a defensive drive, so for me driver of the weekend is Raikkonen, and Lewis for his team radio messages.
Well, a drive in an inferior car in a higher-than-normal position is defensive by default. The thing that impressed me was, that it only worked out because he never did the slightest mistake, despite two WDCs putting pressure on him. 🙂
I agree with you Danilo. For me he drove superbly and when Hamilton overtook him he struck back immediately and after that made his car wider 🙂
The fact that Hamilton, in a much faster car, could not get past him says something. If Hamilton thinks he is too good to be fighting for 5th with Alonso maybe he should look at what Hulkenberg did. In a car that is probably good for the lower part of top 10 he drove the socks off it!
Very true, but i liked the Kimi / Fernando “2014 sneak preview” better 😉
