A weekend where Red Bull left everyone else for dead as they sped away from the field.  More misfortune for Mark Webber (which had been predicted by TJ13) must have left him wondering; why always me?  Hamilton was told to keep drinking as he was forgetting to.  He had mentioned in his BBC column that he has to be reminded to drink occasionally, so are there any other basic functions he forgets to do?

Before the race, people had been asking if anybody could stop Vettel.  This has now been answered emphatically, which means it’s down to the best of the rest places in the WDC.  For me the race had 50 shades of Valencia 2012, with Vettel streaming away from the field at an alarming rate, with Alonso there to pick up the pieces if things went wrong.  The only thing that was different this time is his alternator didn’t give up, and the German went on to win in style.

On the Up

It has taken a fair few rounds but we have a new leader in TheJudge13 All Star F1 racers league.  GR Racing scored 102 points, and in doing so overtook Scherzingers Rejects to claim the top spot.  Impressive stuff picking the podium correctly, especially given their respective grid positions.

One to Forget

Terrible Traffic now sits at the bottom of the league after a weekend of only 22% accuracy.  For Massa to be on the podium was somewhat hopeful, but full marks for enthusiasm.

 After the Twitter interlude that TJ and Fake Race Control enjoyed, which has led to 2 articles being written on the subject (Vettel being booed), I thought I would give a special mention the team behind the account.  Webber retiring caught a fair few people out, but well done for getting pole, fastest lap and positions gained; not easy to do.

Nobody saw it coming

The TJ13 voted Driver of the Day, Kimi Raikkonen stormed through the field to claim the final podium place in a remarkable day for the Finn. Following the lows of the Saturday and not even making Q3, Kimi reminded us just why he has the place lined up at Ferrari next year.  The drive of a World Champion.

Food for thought

Who is normally quick around the Korean circuit?  Red Bull is which would paint quite a bleak picture, but it will be interesting to see who can challenge behind them.  Can Lotus continue to take the fight to Ferrari and will Mercedes be the closest challengers to the Milton Keynes team?

Furthermore, Jenson Button does love racing in Japan so…

Last question’s answer

The question was: The Italian GP was one of the inaugural races on the 1950 F1 race calendar.  Every Formula One Italian GP has been held at the famous Monza circuit, apart from one year.  Which year was this and where was it held instead?

Answer: In 1980 the race was held at Imola, as Monza was under refurbishment at the time. The race was such a success that a new race, the San Marino Grand Prix was established for Imola.
