I currently have an IT problem someone may know how to fix. Usually sites tell me my pics are too big. Apparently for Google+ it is too small and needs to be 250×250 pixels. This is the only graphic I have of my chosen moniker – help?
25/1/13. I want to set up a seperate page for stats – so that CR can post what in effect are blog articles to it. At the moment all the articles default to one page. He will be using excel for tables etc. How do I do this please.

My personal feelings re: Google et al. are aligned with “rpaco” but I just want to point out you don’t even need addons/other software to use RSS feeds. Browsers such as Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome support them as part of Favourites/Bookmarks/Mail (e.g. often called live bookmarks).
(An advantage of using further software to manage your feeds is that you can read your subscriptions from any device).
Your phone, fancy things like digital photo frames and even some fridges and TVs support RSS. It powers newsfeeds like yours (and the BBC too) podcasts, and was one of the original underpinnings of Twitter (although they are now limiting access as they seek ROI: advertising).

How/why would I use RSS?
Imagine your mate is the editor of The Guardian. You tell him you are sick of the coverage of _____ and don’t want to read it in the paper everyday. He says to you
RSS allows you to compile your own favourite newspaper and have it delivered to you whenever you want (instant notification is one drawcard).
You do this by subscribing to feeds (news sources).
Whatever software you use to do this will notify you when it fetches the content. If you use software which keeps your subscription list on the internet, then you can read from anywhere/any device.

In the video above, he mentions Google Reader/My Yahoo! etc. He also says you need to look for the orange RSS icon or another subscribe button on the website.
Both of the aforementioned things are still valid. But these days you can also just look for the Favourites/Bookmarks buttons in your browser’s menu and subscribe that way.
The process was not a problem – pretty easy to understand – it was getting around their naming policy whilst the clock was on that made me feel as though I was on some gameshow.
Was fairly impressed with the Google+ thing – I’m sure there may be others who do this web conferencing as well if not better – I’ve just been exposed to Google+ so far

Ugh, of course, Google removed native RSS support from Chrome. If you use Chrome and don’t want to use Google Reader, you have to install a plugin such as Feed Intent Viewer or RSS Feed Reader.
Or you could use a browser which isn’t designed to add to the already enormous amount of information Google has about you!
Think I just downloadedreader and it now in my chrome options. No other plug ins etc
Was just wondering if this happens to anyone else. I have tj13 saved as a favourite. Sometimes, when i click it, it loads straight away. Sometimes, it starts loading, then it freezes (mouse doesnt work, etc), then loads fine about a minute later.
It is like when something doesn’t respond, except it doesnt say ‘ not responding’ at the top’, no messages saying ‘… is not responding’ come up, and, as i said, always works eventually. It is as if it is just slow.
Is this likely to be my browser (IE9), my computer (wouldnt surprise me if it is, I need a new one!), or do other readers experience also, meaning it could be the website?
I switched to google chrome about 3 months ago from IE – much much faster – IMHO

now i have an issue with blue and lighter shades of txt

i dont know how you would want to procede on this as it looks fine and very nice on a pc with the black dark skin, but on a mobile device if u dont use the view in desktop mode but for eg use view in mobile mode (to save data) and better formatting to a phone screen you have a white back drop and you cant read the lighter text, it blends into the white background.

v v v imp imo not to use pale text, as mobile site has a white background unless u request desktop site which then cant ‘lock’ in position as well.
Plus i think uses more data
so i cannot read the entire section in pale blue on a white background about the top ten moments by williams fans its impossable unless i change to desktop mode
please can u change from useing pale txt, perhaps a dark blue or something would be a compromise

The mobile format eg android mode or iOS mode etc is not working correctly at present 06/07/2013. This is where it formats the page to fit in the mobile browser and has black text on white. This formatting is better on the small screen. At present i have to switch to desktop mode like on a PC. It will show the page in its black format and full webpage design that u have to zoom in on and move around on not a suited to a mobile device.
Is there anyway to stop the writing going behind the “avatar”. It’s something that’s been bugging me for months, but keep forgetting to mention it. I hate It when I can’t see the end of a comment because the picture is blocking it.
Surely it can’t be just me?
Also forgot to mention, is it possible to have an edit button, eg for correcting typos, instead of having to reply to our own post just to correct ourselves?
It’s not just you… I started adding a line (carriage return) at the end of each of my posts to reduce that problem.
I am unable to receive updates to your blog because I’m receiving a message that says I need to enter a valid email address. That’s also odd because I have a blog on WordPress, so my email address is certainly registered there.
