Wolff on thin ice, as Stuttgart consider either his or their position

Wolff on thin ice, as Stuttgart considers either his or their position – The Mercedes AMG F1 and Lewis Hamilton melodrama rolls on.

Having been ‘cancelled’ by the Mercedes brand owners from dragging the German car manufacturers name through the legal quagmire, Toto Wolff finally – and most ungraciously – admitted defeat, revealing he/The F1 team would not pursue any claim against the FIA.

That said, once again Toto (aka ‘Oz Dog’ as we like to call him, try and guess why…) Wolff was not driving the narrative. Some 15 hours earlier the FIA unilaterally announced that they accepted some clarifications over race procedures and guidance given would be worked through with the teams before the 2021 season.

Note: The FIA did not ask for input or concede anything improper happened during the closing laps of the F1 2021 season finale in Abu Dhabi.

Note2: Had Loo and Merc been in P2 when the safety car had been called, they too would have pitted for new tyres and hoped for a last lap battle. Further, had they done so from P1 anyway, and Lewis been forced to pass Max, he would most likely have done so.

Mercedes AMG F1 has learned from a strategic point of view to play the percentages to the point where it is utterly predictable how they will play their hand.

Anyway, that debate is over. Michael Massi – heir to the Charlie Whiting throne – did as Whiting always intended, made a decision; otherwise why have a Race Director?

The debate is indeed over as the FIA crown Max Vertsappen as 2021 season champion tonight at their global sports gala. Yet Oz Dog refuses to go and collect Mercedes unprecedented 8th constructors trophy and is still refusing to speak to Michael Mass.

Toto finally broke his silence today on all matters re: him/Sir Loo and ‘his/their’ racing team.

(As an aside: Does anyone know any members of the BLM executive who would kneel before an old white privileged guy – representative of the British Empire – and allow the Prince of Wales to bestow favour and honour upon them? Taking the knee and all that…)

Having watched the F1 circus since around 1975, I was amazed at the track action on Sunday, yet even more gob smacked by Wolff’s rhetoric today.

Firstly he appears to argue because Lewis won the previous 4 races, he was entitled to be champion.

“What he has… the decisions that have been taken in the last four minutes of the race have dropped Lewis Hamilton of a deserved world championship. His driving in the last four races particularly was faultless. He had a commanding lead on Sunday in Abu Dhabi from the get go. He won the start and he never gave the lead away again. And robbing him in the last lap of the racing, is unacceptable”.

It’s okay for a servant of the German racing team to torpedo Verstappen in Hungary and assist his team mate to an unanswered 18 points I guess.

Let’s also remember, when Mercedes realised they could add yet another engine for Hamilton for just a 5 grid drop penalty, so they did just that. Further, blatantly admitting it was because their power unit got too slow after a few races.

So Hamilton was racing with this engine introduced for no reliability or safety issues. It was just badly designed, and many see that as unfair and against the intention of the regulations.

Interestingly, even in today’s rant, Toto does not say any sporting regulations were breached – only that a value judgment made by the Race Director was improper….. in his most un-humble opinion.

Yet Herr Wolff declares, “We believe we had a very strong case and if you look at it from a legal side if it would have been judged in a regular court it is almost guaranteed we would have won”.

So why not pursue it? Because as TJ13 revealed the brand owners Damiler refused to allow this course of action. Despite them having sold a majority share in the team that bears their brand, they have veto over all actions that could bring the brand into disrepute.

The bizzare expisode of the Wolff rant is he calls out the FIA following their statement of intent and threatens them with either Mercedes or Hamilton withdrawing from the sport.

“I expect the commission to not only come up with words but with actions, and we will hold them accountable for actions, as we cannot continue in a sport that is meant to be sport followed by entertainment and not the other way around”.

After outspending almost the rest of the collective field and dominating F1 to the point of tedium, many may say “Toto I see you bluff, and raise you”

.

The Authoritarian Austrian rant continues, “We are [will not be] held ransom by ad hoc decisions in any field – be it technical or sporting – therefore there need to be clear measures in place before the start of the season so every driver, every team, and the fans, understand what’s on and what is not on.”

One TJ13 prediction correct and down. No appeal.

What’s left?

Well, in all sport the referee’s decision is final. So I guess if the FIA refuse to bow to Toto’s latest demands and threats then it is Goodbye (yellow brick road) to Dorothy and her little doggy (and red heels).

Or, if Wolff clings on, maybe Daimler will feel their brand is being brought into disrepute despite their prior warning – and by another Austrian ‘who wants to rule the world’ (T4F) – and so sell their 30% remaining share and cease bankrolling the newly formed Ineos/Wolff Racing Team.

Better the devil……

  1. Hi Judge, I love your articles. Especially the “Stuttgart shut down Mercedes AMG F1 protest”
Although most replies are from woke idiots (Sauron’s Ork Army) that call anything they don’t agree with racist to kill the discussion immediately. Know that there is also a worldwide army of honorable people who do totally agree with you. Just not in wokian idiot land. These so called anti fascists become fascist real fast themselves as soon as someone doesn’t agree with their moronic demonic divide and concur tactics they call options on a inclusive and better world for everyone . Shut him up!! Don’t let him speak!! How could someone who has an opinion like that have a platform!!?? CENCOR CENSOR CENSOR!!
Anyway… just letting you know you are definitely not alone;) Keep on doing the good work to keep things a little even and balanced with the English army of gatekeeper/protector pundits out there.
    A fan

    • The kneelers will knee before anything that gives them a sense of superiority (moral or otherwise), no matter how contradictory the positions.

Sore Lew as the indisputable best race card driver of F1 history is no exception.

    • Is this a real article? You sound like a butt hurt little cunt upset that Hamilton and Wolff have being pushing everyone else’s shit in for so long

    • What is left unsaid is that whatever decision Mercedes would have done the order of arrival had already been decided. F1 was sick of Ham dominance and needed to reward the new generation fans who so lovingly spend their money following the new talent.
MV/RB kept LH/M in check mate with the Safety Car with the FIA making the decision after getting the advise of Christian Horner.
Max was defenitely told. Do the opposite of Ham. Ham did not pit to hold position. So Max pitted. Had Ham pitted Max would have stayed out to gain P1. At that point Christian Horner would have lobbied to end under Safety Car.
It was said that a crash must not decide the title race. After all that is just what happened with a pointlessly tackle to overtake over a non points position. An overtake over the man who surely did not want his father’s record broken. I wonder what went really on behind the scenes as conspiracy theories will keep emerging.

  3. Oh god what utter shite. How did this come across my news feed! Sadly this championship will be tarnished both drivers deserved it. A red flag would have been the best option so they could race to the end in a real dual of the best of the best. For TV that would have been the best ratings grabber.

    • Utter tosh.

They had 2 race neutralizations and in the 1st one they could have brought Sore Lew in even after Verstappen coming in, and still not lose position.

They were too entitled or too afraid, or most likely both and lost because of it.

  4. The ownership ratio is largely irrelevant. The value of the team is its name and only M-B own that. If M-B sold out the M-B name would be gone and it would revert into just another privateer. The F1 engine division is wholly owned by Daimler. Toto might find himself being treated like Williams…..

    • Daimler should ask Wolff why Hamilton did not test the 18 inch tires this week and let Russell do his homework. The cars will be completely different next year and they should do everything to develop the best car possible for 2022. Even Verstappen did the test before he was flown to Milton Keys to celebrate at the factory.

      • I think the BLM reference is unwarranted and unnecessary except if you have an axe to grind with LH, who in my opinion has been very dignified in all the shenanigans with the final lap of the the last race

  5. Sensible comment on this situation. Cuts nicely through all the Guff from fan boys/British press. Yes I am English

  6. Use of extra engines needs to come with harsher penalties. I suggest forfeiture of 5% of the points accumulated, for both driver and team.

  7. Because as TJ13 revealed the brand owners Damiler refused to allow this course of action. Despite them having sold a majority share in the team that bears their brand, they have veto over all actions that could bring the brand into disrepute.

hahaha as TJ13 makes things up 1st thing in the morning and hopes to randomly call a scoop -where is red bulls magical Tag engine? built in a warehouse you spotted on google earth? how many titles does Sir lewis have so far? any tight wad jackie stewart Trumpisms?

it must pain you and the stingy jackie jim will fixit buddy – wait till wc #8 from knight rider – while your wife touches herself as she admires his tatts – hahahahahahahaha

keep it up Sir ‘choke-tears-salty-jizz-upyours-kiss-his-black-aas’ Hamilton will win again for Toto then go to Ferrari and rub his dick all over your face as you feel endlessly useless and inadequate –

Lewis will fade like Villeneuve, exact sam trajectory, mercedes hate wiggers, seb will take the place –

why are you still losing? where have you gone with this f1 breitbart?

up at 2 am to make things up, get that fat pig hippo back, he at least added a couple brain cells to this pathetic tired irrelevant jim will fix it site

we still laugh silly at you

  8. Or, if Wolff clings on, maybe Daimler will feel their brand is being brought into disrepute despite their prior warning – and by another Austrian ‘who wants to rule the world’ (T4F) – and so sell their 30% remaining share and cease bankrolling the newly formed Ineos/Wolff Racing Team.

you are so stupid that you embarass real writers, you dont even get how illogical that sentence is,
    alterative facts rule hahahahaha

    twat

  9. “Wolf on thin ice…”. That’s your perception!!! Did you get this from the Daimler Board? Nonsensical to say the least.

  10. Wow. What a one sided narrow minded article. Lmao. Take some facts (not all facts) and tweak them to suit your narrative. Hilarious writing.

  11. TOTO’s Childish Tantrum
Wolf wanted the race to end under a yellow flag, which would have screwed the fans, but guaranteed his driver the championship. Michael Masi (the FIA) ruled in favor of the millions of viewers and ended the race with a one lap shoot-out. Mercedes has withdrawn all protests yet Toto continues to display the behavior of a 2 year old. Lewis could have enhanced his public image by attending the ceremony in Paris and acting magnanimous, but apparently he will not be able to summon up the integrity to do that. The British motor sport press continues to do their imitation of the death scene from Madam Butterfly. It is over: Verstappen is world champion. Toto and the whole lot stamping their feet and whining will not change that fact.

  12. The race director ignored the rules and declared the final lap a race lap. Mercedes strategy decisions were governed by the rules. Is there a stipulation in the rule book stating they are only applicable to race teams. Leaving the race director to do whatever they wish regardless the effect of this on team drivers and cars.

If this is the case, no matter how diligently the rules are followed by the teams/drivers the race director can determine how the race evolves and even the race out come.

  13. This is the greatest load of one sided bullshit I have ever read total and utter CRAP the author should be ashamed and the resentment for Wolff and Hamilton is sad click bait headlines

  14. Convoluted, poisonous, embarrassing, clickbait. You could start with a closer examination of the most recent comments from the new FIA president or the the official FIA statement regarding what took place at the last Grand Prix of the ’21 season. There isn’t even an attempt at journalistic impartiality.

“The BLM executive…” A ludicrous remark, bordering on prejudicial. Are you pushing for a job on GB News? No idea how this ended up my newsfeed but thejudge13 and its author will not be appearing on it again. It’s almost laughable.

  15. Can we also have a conversation about Toto’s unaceptable aggressive & violet behaviour… all yo get his face all over the screens! Starting with the finger pointing & ending with distruction of property! I watched F1 from 5(55now) & my son watched on my lap from 2, I think this uncalled for and unnecessary. NO OTHER TEAM PRINCIPAL BEHAVES SUCH.

  16. Just the sort of unbalanced hysterical journalism F1 can do without you are a legend in your own lavatory I’d suggest you stay there incase there is another avalanche off shit due

    • I pity the writer of this article, the piss garbage that took the time to post, clearly showed that your head is stuck so far up the rear-end of anyone who is anti Mercedes and Sir Lewis Hamilton, that you cannot even be unbiased in your opinion.
I am going to target two points where your bias stinks, first you point at Bottas being a saboteur but completely ignored the the four attempts to by Max himself where he intentionally tried to crash out both himself and Lewis, including his imfamous quote “that’s what you get when you don’t leave enough room”, knowing fully that any of his attempts would have automatically guaranteed him his title and there would have been no need for the shenanigans in the last race.
You and the other anti Mercedes haters, also completely ignored the farce of a race when they celebrated a race victory that finished behind the safety car in Belgium for two laps just constitute a so-called race, which should either have been abandoned from the very start and rescheduled for a later date, filling the slot left with the withdrawal from the Canadian Grand Prix, or have no race period with no points awarded. But instead Masi decided to award half points without there being an actual race.
So for you and all the others who are now relishing a fraudulent championship, you most definitely owe it all to Michael Masi and his veto manipulations.
Seriously, who has the FIA helped the most by going to the extreme to ensure who became champions?
The the disrespect that has been heeped on Mercedes and Lewis calling him a “paper champion” because of the car and not his ability, tell me, who really is the “paper champion” now with the blatant manipulations, especially in the last race? Max title will forever be seen and viewed as tarnished because of Michael Masi.

  17. Wow, what an unmitigated pile of shite. A red flag would have been OK, as everyone could change tyres and have a shoot out. Letting ALL cars unlap themselves would have been OK as Verstrapon would then have Saintz and losing 2nd place to worry about. Doing as Massi did was a blatant race fix. The actions of the race director have to fit within the rules of the race and this did not.
Next year, Verstrapon will have George to race and crash into thus giving Lewis an easy 8th championship.

  18. I am new here and my initial comment did not come up. I am posting almost the same so excuse me if you are seeing this twice.

What is left unsaid, or if said not said enough, is that MV/RB had LH/M on check mate in the last 5 laps with the help of the FIA.
We have seen hundreds of GPs and the safety car procedure was always followed in the same manner.
All , not any, lapped cars are allowed to unlap themselves and go around to join the pack from the end forming a train.
The safety car is called in and declared SAFETY CAR IN THIS LAP well before it`s entry in the pit lane not in the last few corners.
This was a clear manipulation to allow MV to win.
The order of arrival of the race had already been decided after Jeddah. LH Must not win. That was decided.
FI / FIA / Liberty Media wanted a new champion after getting the highest ratings ever achieved in the title fight taking advantage of LH/Merc ability to come back strong in the last quarter of the championship.

Back to the check mate position.
MV was defenitely told : Do the opposite of HAM.
HAM did not pit so MV pitted for fresh rubber.
CH then reminded FIA/Masi that we need One Lap of Racing.

    Opposite Scenario
HAM pits and loses P1 to MV as MV stays out on old but still good HARD.
CH would have reminded FIA/Masi that we need to make safety car procedure normally ending race under safety car.

It was said that a crash must not decide the F1 title. Sadly that is just what happened. A literally pointless attempt to overtake the son of the joint 7 WDC champion who was desperate to have his father remain on top after Abu Dhabi. An attempt to overtake over a non point scoring position to give the opportunity for a crash away from the action but still allowing the race to be mixed in a way to allow the desired result to emerge.

The only solution forward in my opinion is to have fair rules and not subject to the interpretation of the race director. Nobody is above the rules and rules must be applied in the same manner be it the first or last race. Sky Sports commentators all agreed that the normal procedure was not followed. Am I the only one seeing this ?

Masi should be promoted in order not to remain race director as he has made a complete mess of the situation and tarnished all that came with the result of this last race. He tarnished the image of Lewis Hamilton who was robbed of a win and the definitely tarnished the championship win of Max who will always be remembered as the one who won with the help of the FIA putting him in a position to overtake in the mast lap with a free pit stop.

I congratulate Max for his win and see this championship win similar to the one of Prost in 1989 or Schumacher in 1994. The difference is that he did not cause the crash but definitely profited from it.

On a seperate note as I like to be self critical, Lewis did not lose the championship in the last race.

Just 2 which come to mind.

Hungary. On a formation lap which was completely dry he did not pit and all the field pitted.
Again to save the P1. An unprecedented LIGHTS OUT – JUST FOR HAMILTON.

Baku. On a restart the break balance was wrong and lost an easy 2nd place.

Also had Mercedes put the effort from the beginning there would have been more poles and more wins like Castellet and Austin.

I just hope LH drives for another 2 years so he can again attack for the title. I see no other except maybe Russel capable of challenging Max.

Cheers and happy Christmas to All……….

  19. What a ridiculous load of bollocks. This is ill-informed opinion dressed up as an article. You really are mailing it in writing this crap.

  20. Just say you’re a Verstappen fan and go. To claim that the media are fanboys who can’t write objectively then proceed to do so yourself is to join the circus. If the objective was a fair race for entertainment value, a red flag should have been raised to give us six good laps of racing goodness. The last minute decision gave Verstappen an advantage and that’s that. Four other drivers were affected too, so articles shouldn’t write like it’s merely Hamilton hurt by the decision. It affects all drivers on track, affects rules being rules in a sport and it affects the faith fans have in FIA to fairly regulate. And that BLM comment is utterly unnecessary to this conversation but go off, you “unbiased, not a fan boy” writer you!
