Lewis Hamilton’s frustration after the Turkish GP & points finger at team

Lewis Hamilton was irritated by Mercedes’ strategy during the Turkish Grand Prix on Sunday. After the race, the Briton expressed his frustration.

Lewis Hamilton showed some disappointment on Sunday at the Turkish Grand Prix. The British driver was visibly annoyed by Mercedes’ strategy towards him and made this clear to his engineers, several times over the radio, effectively pointing the finger of blame at his own team.

The seven-time world champion, who was third at the time, didn’t want to return to the pits when he was asked to. At the finish, Lewis Hamilton came out in fifth place and stayed there until the end. After the race, he had plenty to say.

Lewis Hamilton expressed his great frustration after the Turkish Grand Prix:

“It was frustrating because I could obviously aim for second place and all of a sudden I’m fifth. I just felt like it wasn’t good and that’s what I said after the race.

“Especially when I was told that Esteban Ocon had done the whole race without stopping. At that moment I only have a certain amount of information and the team has other information, they see everybody. For me it’s hard to want to give up something when you don’t know the whole picture.”
