New comments by Vettel on Aston Martin future

Sebastian Vettel, speaking about his future in Formula 1 commented that he had not yet made a decision on his future with Aston Martin.

Sebastian Vettel’s adventure with Ferrari is coming to an end. The Scuderia management has decided not to extend the contract of the German driver, who will leave the Italian team at the end of the season.

Uncertainty now reigns over Sebastian Vettel’s future. The 33-year-old four-time world champion has still not found a wheel for next season. However, when asked about his future, Sebastian Vettel made no secret of his interest in the Racing Point project that will become Aston Martin F1 in 2021:

“The project looks exciting from the outside. I’ve been in F1 long enough, however, to know that you have to try to look beyond what you are told. You have to be able to guess what will or won’t work on the starting grid.

“I want to make sure I’m making the right decision for me.”

Asked again about his future in Formula One, the Ferrari driver took stock and again spoke of a possible move to Aston Martin:

“I don’t have an answer, I would give you one if I knew, but at the moment I don’t, and I think it’s realistic to be patient and wait. It could be a few weeks or even longer. Time will tell.

“Nothing has changed from what I said three weeks ago. I’m in no hurry, I want to make sure I’m making the right decision for me. I’ve made it very clear that I still have a lot to give if I have the right car, and that depends on the options I have,” said Sebastian Vettel.
