Esteban Ocon admits that he will share some of the secrets he learned at the Mercedes F1 team when driving for them as a reserve in 2019 with his new employer Renault.

Obviously, being a reserve driver in the reigning world champion team, which has dominated the category for several years, is a huge asset for the Renault team, which hired Esteban Ocon not only for his talent, but also perhaps a little because he can deliver a lot of important information to Renault.

The former Force India driver comes to Renault with a few ‘secrets’ learned at Mercedes last year and the Frenchman has admitted that he will not hesitate to reveal some of them to his new employer.

“I come from there [at Mercedes] with a lot more knowledge on the technical side, but also on other aspects of the organisation, how they see things in different conditions and how they behave in any situation. “Ocon said at the launch of the 2020 season by Renault on Wednesday in Paris.

However, it should be remembered that Esteban Ocon was excluded from the briefings by the Mercedes team at the end of the year, notably during all the meetings which concerned the car for the 2020 season.
