  1. https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsThinking we’re back to ‘normal’ now that Mercedes (and Red Bull for that matter) have recovered from their trick suspension woes at the start of the year. Mercedes 1st – Ferrari and Red Bull fighting over 2nd & 3rd. Will be the same next year too, I expect. Will always watch the races… but less enthralled these days.

  2. Pretty good overall, but you have to temper the enthusiasm with the knowledge that a lot of the fun came from Max starting out of position. Nigh on a minute clear gap between the top three teams and the rest, as well – that ain’t good.

I want a race where the top six all qualify and start in position. Straight fight.

If Lewis takes the choccies next week then i want the last two races to be like a 70’s swingers party. All car keys in a bowl to kick off then draw blindfolded to see who you’re riding for the afternoon. Chase Carey would be familiar with the format – he sounds like a porn star.

  3. Would have rated higher if Verstappen had been allowed to keep 3rd. Now they robbed the fans. Every time you go off the track there is a lasting advantage because you gain a few tenths or because otherwise you would have crashed the car. Massive inconsistency. Plus that Garry Connolly steward has been on Verstappen’s case now 3 times. USA, Mexico and also Japan where he tried to convince Mercedes to file an appeal against Verstappen which they refused. Something is not right here and it leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth about the race.

    • To be fair in Mexico verstappen was at fault. And technically he was at fault in the US too. And in Japan, well… That wasn’t to kosjer either.
But people are demanding consistency of the FIA. Connolly seems to be consistent in his “witch hunt” for Verstappen. 😉
