Race itself was pretty boring, no overtaking except that one move for 10th place by Ocon. But for the season itself that Ferrari can challenge Mercedes it’s great news for most ones.
Not the biggest Vettel fan but dam I’ve missed that finger.
So, based on this, I’ll be looking to attend more than one GP this year,
The result was far more exciting than the race itself.
Fully agree, and what a result!! I hope that the future races don’t get decided in the pits, i know OZ has a way of throwing up odd results but both Mchonda getting problems and a 50sec gap between the top teams doesn’t make for thrilling news.
If Mercedes would have let Bottas pass Hamilton, I would have given the race an 11.
7. Old fashioned excitement (watch the lap times….if you can that is), with a good chance to put the kettle on without missing anything (assume that was the aim of the new regs 😏 ). Result better (for neutrals hoping of a battle this year) than the on track sction for sure, but the sight of a non Merc contending for victory kept me glued….to be fair, if Lewis had just coasted off into distance it may have gotten a 2 (+1 for nice weather). So F1 does need Ferrari, now we know 😂
I rated this GP neutral with a 6 since it’s the first race. Could have been a 5 if it wasn’t for Vettel taking the lead. Found the race pretty boring. Gave me time to make breakfast.
The move from Ocon was nice but predictable because of the power deficit from McLaren.
Loved Hamilton saying: ‘I can’t get passed this guy.’ Referring to Verstappen. It never would have been easy, but I’m afraid the prediction that the new regulations would make overtaking more difficult is an understatement.
New cars look good. Racing is almost non-existent. This is the least exciting season start in a long time. Thanks to a Mercedes strategy brainfart somebody else won. Pretty disappointed overal. 1.
We need a fuel stop and a second stop for tire change without fuel.or add twenty laps to eavh race and remove the minimum fuel requirement excitement will follow with these added in .
