Brawn: No problem working with Ecclestone…
Ross Brawn says he’d be happy to work alongside Bernie Ecclestone in a head role in F1 but concedes it is unlikely to happen in the next few years.
The former Benetton, Ferrari and Brawn GP team principal has recently denied reports linking him to taking over from Ecclestone as F1 chief but has continued to voice an interest in returning to the sport but not in a role within a team.

Brazil is Sauber’s best chance, says Nasr
Brazilian driver Felipe Nasr hopes his home Formula One race next week will finally give Swiss-based Sauber something to cheer about.
It has been more than a year, and a run of 22 races, since the 24-year-old Brasilia-born driver secured struggling Sauber’s last points with ninth place at the 2015 U.S. Grand Prix.
With financial difficulties leading to a lack of pre-season testing and car development, 2016 has been one big blank for Nasr and Swedish team mate Marcus Ericsson.
“In terms of getting a point, in Sao Paulo as we know there is always a question mark on the weather, it can be anything – sunny or rainy on the same day,” Nasr told Reuters in a telephone interview from Miami.
“And this could play into our hands, in terms of having tricky conditions out there or if the track is wet or dry enough.
“I would expect something like this that would help us score points because in normal conditions, on pure performance, we don’t have the car to achieve a top 10 finish.”
Frank Williams released from hospital
Sir Frank Williams is back home after being hospitalised with a bout of pneumonia, that’s according to deputy team boss Claire Williams.
The team confirmed in Mexico that both Sir Frank and his daughter were not present in Mexico City due to the Williams’ founder’s health.
However, days later, Claire has confirmed her father was released from hospital on Monday and is “pretty much back” to his old self.
I earned my Williams shot – teenager Stroll
Canadian teenager Lance Stroll, son of billionaire businessman Lawrence Stroll, believes he has earned his place in Formula 1 by winning the Formula 3 Championship.
Stroll was named as the replacement for the retiring Felipe Massa at Williams in 2017.
Note from Ed: Stroll’s opposition in F3 2016 – Only 16 full time drivers including Stroll. 8 were rookies, the rest were drivers with only 1 extra year of experience including 2 team mates. Perhaps not quite as convincing a season after all…
