  1. My vote goes to Max. The top 3 all did a good job, but Max showed a lot of skill to hold Rosberg off in the closing laps. Some great defensive driving when a single mistake would have allowed the far quicker Mercedes car past.

    • Yep.
Love the lay out of the poll. Although i’d rather not have to scroll along all those other drivers to press the vote button.

  2. Sainz did a very good race but did cock up in quali. So driver of the weekend would be to much. Lewis did an excellent job, but he is supposed to with that car. Vettel seemed to be closing the gap of 0.5 per lap to 0.2 per lap. Something kimi can’t do.

  3. I voted Ricciardo. Once again put himself in a position to win but was once again handicapped by his team. Poor bugger, he should just copy mercs strategy every race!

    • ” Once again put himself in a position to win but was once again handicapped by his team”…..

Were all watching the same race? when was RIC ever in a position to win the race?

      • and were was he handicapped by his team? You mean the pitsstop that cost him a second or so, nahh he was the one who flatspotted the tires not his team.

    • 1st corner lock up, burning trough all tires in free practice and qualy so there was only one set with 17 laps left for emergencies, flatspotting a tire so he had to come in, getting Rosberg in front of him at the 2nd corner…. Yeah, that was the team trying to bugger up his race. And I forgot that he overshot the pitstop markers which caused the difficulty with getting the wheel on.

  4. I enjoyed Seb’s race, but cannot give him driver of the day because in his eagerness to catch Hamilton he lost his composure too often. Tie between Hamilton & Verstappen, perhaps Hamilton just edging it for that superb long stint on the Soft tyres.

  5. Hamilton just for how measured he was and the way he was able to nurse his tires and easily managed the gap to Seb. He set the 2nd fastest lap of the race on lap 68, a 1’15:981 (about 3 tenth faster than Seb who was tires with more tire life than Lewis). So it was clear that he had pace more pace in the car when he needed it, so even without Seb’s mistakes, i doubt he would’ve gotten close enough to make a pass.
