#TJ13 #F1 Courtroom Podcast: “Very, Very Good”

Podcast

The stream of Podcast neophytes continues to grow as this week Spreadsheet Specialist, Big Data lover and Audio Man extraordinaire TourDog hits the hot seat for the first time. Rumours he turned his volume up to 11 are entirely untrue

Queen V, the ever fabulous Vivian Bove, continues her streak and demonstrates yet again her ability to rise above the general nonsense and to rock a particularly fearsome Kimi shirt. Kimi IS staying! You hear that, Maranello?

The Management makes a rare appearance as Chief Enforcer John Myburgh carves some time out of his busy schedule to join the panel. Unfortunately, he’s a bit late to the party as at the last second he was served with a Honey-Do list that turned out to take longer than anticipated. He’s joined by stalwart Mattpt55 who pretended to host the show this week as none of the adults were about to stop him.

There was far too much to talk about and not nearly enough time, but before getting into the race proper, the panel pause to discuss the ponderous Tango between Renault and F1 and to speculate as to who’s really leading the dance and why. The events of the Hungarian GP take precedence soon enough and it’s no surprise that the stewards and the start get no small amount of attention.

The Quiz this week resumes it’s traditional, non-stolen format as Mattpt55 challenges the panels Hungarian historical knowledge. Listen in to see if the panel can get it right this week, or if Mattpt55 can stump them all.

After the fun of the quiz, it’s back to business as Queeen V again brings us her “Less than Memorable Moments” and also a look at the 2015 driver salaries. Tourdog fills us in on the most and least expensive driver per championship point as no data is safe for long when he’s in the room. Last, the panel examine whether or not things that supposedly cost less may actually cost more, with regards to the 2016 testing schedule. Hint: the answer might well be yes, particularly if one is a midfield team.

Things are learned this week about the philosophical nature of F1 as well as cocktails

Thanks again to the Jury for providing an excellent stream of comments and facts and for hanging in whilst we sorted our tech. Or at least we think they did. Unfortunately we got distracted by TourDog’s pretty, pretty spreadsheet. We’ll do better next time, Jury, we promise. Honest. Join @Mattpt55, @JohnMyburgh and @VivianBove on Twitter where we sometimes talk about stuff. With Words.

iTunes 5 star reviews: We would also like to take this opportunity to ask you all for your support. As the TJ13 community grows the Podcast is becoming a huge part of the journey. From recent chats within the F1 paddock in Jerez we have found it is establishing a following within the world of F1 and we would like to continue to grow and make TJ13 the number one site for F1 information across the globe.

One way to establish this would be if you could all vote on iTunes with a five star rating as this then pushes the podcast up the rankings and in turn brings more people into the site. This will allow further development of the site, contributors and always with the vision of giving everybody a voice.
