Jules Bianchi, 25, has died from the injuries sustained in a crash during the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, his parents report. During the race on October 5th 2014 Bianchi’s Marussia collided with a track-side vehicle at high speed and Bianchi sustained severe brain injuries.
“Jules fought right to the very end, as he always did, but today his battle came to an end.” his father told the press after the death of his son in a hospital in Nice, France.
Bianchi is the first active F1 driver to die since Ayrton Senna lost his life on 1st May 1994.
TJ13 offer their condolences to the Family and the Manor GP team.
RIP Jules
Very sad. Not unexpected given the earlier reports that he wasn’t recovering. Head injuries are the worst.
RIP Jules Bianchi
What a tragedy…. Thoughts and prayers for his family. Hopefully, they’ll pursue this and someone will eventually be held responsible…
My gut tells me the family has been silenced. This is based on the fact that the FIA/F1 investigated themselves, which almost certainly means a cover your a$$ situation.
What many people forget in all the grief though. The accident was caused by a single person – Jules Bianchi. He ignored double waved yellows, just like Adrian Sutil before him. Sutil was lucky – Bianchi was not
Repose en paix, Jules Bianchi.
Truly saddening news, but such devastating news is not unexpected.
My deepest condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Jules.
Sleep well Jules. We will remember

One of the best pictures of this young driver,it sum up his entire outlook
OMG. Reading the news of his death this morning got me very sad, but that picture broke my heart. Such a smiling and always positive guy and he left us forever. RIP.
Hate to say considering the context, but that’s actually Chilton clicking his heels. Bianchi is just ahead in the shorts and the red soled shoes.
Let this be a stark warning to those who are calling for the cars to be made more difficult to driver and for the drivers to go back to the old days when they were ‘heroes’.
Formula one is and will always be a dangerous sport no matter how much you attempt to make it safe, let us not forget that.
R. I. P Jules and condolences to his family and friends.
I say this with respect Fortis, but I don’t feel it’s fair or correct to use this as capital against those who argue in favour of a faster, or more robust F1. The issues are unrelated.
R.I.P Jules… a needless injury – and subsequent death – from a total clusterfuck of an accident in Suzuka ’14. Massive, massive shame.
To be honest, I was not actually trying to do that.
It’s just the constant cries for the increase in speed and for drivers to become heroes,it seems as if people are overlooking that this is a very dangerous sport and it just takes one unfortunate incident for someone to get severely injured and their life is over.
Too bad it wasn’t the high speed that killed him. It was something that doesn’t partake in the race itself. All in all verstappen made a bigger crash in monaco, only thing is the barrier is made for that impact. A recovery vehicle isn’t. .. nothing to do with us asking for more speed or hero’s.
So very, very sorry. Such talent, such force. Carry on.
Rip Jules.
It makes me think who’s better of, Jules or Michael – especially thinking about the poor people around them.
RIP Jules. A tragic loss. You will always be in our hearts.
RIP Jules – such a needless waste
Forza Jules. A tragic unnecessary loss to his family and the F1 community. RIP.
The saddest day in F1 since May 1994.
Rest peacefully, but never forgotten.
Who said F1 drivers are no longer heroes?
RIP Jules. Had a bad feeling the other day when I saw what his father said about not recovering from his head injury.
Sad day! Peace and blessing to the Bianchi family.
