Without a doubt hamilton.
I voted for Massa. Despite all his critics in the first half of the season, he has had a very good second half and collected more points.
A special mention to Rosberg for refusing to retire when the team asked him so. The radio was transcript him saying “No i would like to go to the end” just after hamilton lapped him, but i presume it might be before that. I suppose many would have avoided the shame of being lapped by a team mate and would have retired. But kudos to Rosberg for not doing so.
in sports never give up. I was surprised to hear the team ask such a ridiculous thing.
Depending on the circumstances it’s not such a senseless thing to do : your car is not lapping fast due to damage on your car, you’re out of the points, so retiring the car saves mileage on your engine and transmission chain that could be better used on the next race. But yesterday there was no such situation (as it was the last race anyway).
I’ll got the Hulk for P6 after a drive-through. I didn’t see him serve it, but I assume it happened based on the commentary. 2 seconds behind Buttonin the end.
Special mention for Danny-boy working the passes in a ‘slow’ Vmax car through to P4. Also Kvyat was f. when he was in motion. Fun at RBR next year. Let’s hope the engine improves.
Kvyat has a good chance to be youngest winner if the RB gets on track in 2015..
Massa for me. Flies under the radar when he is on a roll, like he has been since Monza, and gets all the heat when something goes wrong (Canada, Germany).
Hamilton hands down, he did what he had to into the 1st corner and the rest is history.
Why would they make Rosberg take a picture like that, with his hand on Lewis’ trophy? Seems like rubbin’ his nose in it.
There are a lot of questions over how Merc have treated him this year. But I would hazard a guess we’ll have to wait for a tell-all book after his career to find out.
