    • I voted for Romain then clicked to view results; at that point he had 100% of the vote 😉

  1. Has to be Romain… Stunning qualli, stunning getaway and great mature drive even under pressure from Webber.

Lotus should not be sad that Raikkonen has left, they have a champ already and he is very cheap compared to Raikkonen 🙂

  2. Great job by Romain but my vote goes to Gutierrez. Finishing just behind his rated teammate after starting 7 places back from him was a brilliant drive. Finally he’s getting it together. Maybe.

    • Very true Mr A! I hope he will be there next year. In the beginning of the year he said he felt he was not really ready but now it looks like he is finding his feet so that is good.

Next year he should be able to shine as he is very light so should be able to be underweight so ballast can be used as desired 🙂

  3. Has to be Vettel – all the rest were if, buts and maybes, while he just stuck in and got the job done!

    • That was pretty sure a f1rejects forum member. They’ve got a running juke called ‘the Chilton craze’, where every achievement of Max Chilton (like not falling over, not killing himself, finding home without help) is enthusiastically celebrated. And he started 19th that was is crowning achievement so far 😀

  4. Looking across the weekend performances, (there were many strong performances up and down the grid), it came down to Grosjean and Webber.

Both had excellent practice sessions this weekend, and were on pace with their team-mates. Both did their full sets of practice laps, and competently carried the practice burden for their team when their team-mates were not able to do all their practice laps.

Both had exemplary qualifying sessions. Both had excellent race performances.

I chose Webber over Grosjean for driver of the weekend based on his pole position performance, and his well executed race performance… An excellent weekend performance!
