  1. Was tempted to say Vettel, because that was an absolutely masterful drive.

But Alonso once again did his thing.

  2. Has to be Kimi. 13th to 3rd with a bad back. Even Alonso’s and Vettel’s drives pale in comparison.

  3. Driver of the race? I agree with Danilo, has to be Kimi. Superb drive. Have to feel sorry for Grosjean who had a real chance of getting a podium slot.

Great drive by Alonso and Vettel as well as the two McLaren drivers.

Driver of the weekend? Vettel. Love him or hate him, brilliant drive! He does the business when it needs to be and that is it.

  4. Even though I’m not a vettel fan I have to give this one to Vettel – the first for the year. Amazing week-end really. Webber no where near him.

  5. How good of a driver Vettel is… that is the question… probably one of the best on this grid.

After his WDC this season many will doubt him, because all his wins were done in Adrian Newey’s car, but if he changes team and still manages to own everyone – he is the true champion in my eyes.

  6. Driver of the Day is Kimi Raikkönen, started 13th, finished 3rd and all that with a bad back on a street circuit with countless bumps, for a straight 2 hours. Hats off to the man.

Vettel deserves a worthy shout for DotD as well, putting 2 second a lap on the rest of the field was something Michael Schumacher used to do, so it kind of tells you how good he really is (though it doesn’t make for good viewing I suppose lol)

  7. Vettel for me, did everything required, showed his advantage after the pace car, intelligence by not making an extra run in Q3 so he had a fresh set of rubber. The RB9 is obviously the class of the field, but the way he seems to drag it even further forward is impressing more and more. I wish he wasn’t as good as he is so we get closer racing, but we should appreciate what we have while we do.

Honourable mention to Kimi and his ‘sore back’.

  8. Kimi for me also. Vettel had a masterful strategic weekend, but Kimi battled on the day and it must be hard for Renault – oops Lotus, to be losing him to Ferrari next year.
