  1. Gave it a 7.. it was an interesting start, great drive by Kimi and Alonso, boring in the middle, unlucky for Webber (again?) and interesting end to the race 🙂

  2. It makes me very sad to see Vettel being booed when he has just put a great weekend, without any bad behaviour at all. We, as fans, should concentrate in enjoying the show, push for our favorite teams or drivers, and accept that sometimes the winner will not be the one we would have liked. I would clap the victory of RB/Vettel today because the combination of the two was just the best performer of the weekend.

    • Pulling away at up to 2s per lap, that is amazing. You also have to laugh at his humour. When they boo’d him he said there is a bus that travels around 🙂

      • I was quite perplexed at the booing. Having lived in Singapore for 7 years now I can assure you that it would not have been Singaporeans doing it -it’s just not something they would do. So who was it? British fans? Maybe there is a bus that follows Vettel around just to boo him.

    • In many forums I saw people call Vettel arrogant for only making one Q3 run yesterday. But that extra set of tyres he saved made him the only driver, who wasn’t told endlessly to preserve tyres. If anything, the Pirelli folk should be bent over the nearest piece of furniture and given a darn good flogging for giving us another bleeping eco-run.

      • The spanish commentator for the race probably started that. He is a shame, always trying to find stories where there are none. And since RB/Vettel cannot be blamed that much this year, he tries every trick to make them look like they made a mistake.

In the first laps of the race today, a frame of Domenicali was going on TV and this very same commentator starting making a story on how Domenicali was concentrated in the race but also on the very complicated 2014 to come (with Kimi and Fernando).

    • Rightly or Wrongly, having never been a huge Vettel fan, the growing reaction to him by ‘the masses’ is making me like him more and more. Perhaps thats all he needs to make him popular, a few more idiots to boo and hate him.

    • At least Lotus is not completely lost without Raikkonen. I wonder if teams have the resources to focus on both drivers equally nowadays? Can they really field two cars with equal ability and the right mechanics? I am sure there is a plausible argument why Grosjean’s car broke but it seems that the luck never deserts #1 drivers. If something happens it normally happens to car #2…

Next year he should have a good chance.

  3. Gave it a 5, but it’s kind of biased, a 6 of closer to the mark.

Vettel walked away with it and there was just no contest. I was kind of disappointed that Rosberg didn’t have a stronger race, he spent half the race in clear air so I was expecting him to be much higher up in the end. Great drive by Raikkönen to get 3rd, and Alonso, as ever he gets the podium place when his car doesn’t match the Red Bull.

It’s fair to say that the remaining races will have only one winner, Red Bull are THAT strong, and that must be depressing for the whole paddock but hey : he has worked hard to earn it. Congrats to Vettel for his 4th title, because other than a patch of cataclysmic proportion, nothing will get in his way.

  4. Amazing race by Vettel again, managing to make the rest of the field look like they are in a different formula. It does make you wonder how he can do it though, I mean he must have some secret that only he knows because I can’t really believe that Webber is that much behind any driver in equal equipment. Maybe one day, we will see him in the same car as either Alonso or Hamilton and he can really prove what a genius at the wheel he is.

Scored it a 6, was a procession really up to the safety car, which rescued the spectacle. It was too late for my ‘other half’ though as she lost patience and went shopping!

  5. Gave it a six – mainly because of the poor BBC highlights coverage which failed again to properly update the viewer on what has happened between edits! It is a hairy circuit however and when in-car footage is shown allows us to see how important precision driving is in keeping the car out of the wall.
